Tucson-based carwash and lube shop operator Mister Car Wash has expanded its local presence by buying four carwashes and two lube centers from Capin Car Care Centers.
The acquisition runs Mister Car Wash's total to 78 carwashes and 30 lube centers, spread through 10 states.
The former Capin Car Care Centers are now known as Mister HotShine Car Wash & Lube Centers. Locations include 6345 E. Tanque Verde Road, 8215 N. Courtney Page Way, 8175 N. Oracle Road and 320 W. Irvington Road.
Mister Car Wash, headquartered in Tucson, more than quadrupled its number of local employees, from 45 to 200. The organization is also looking to hire more employees, including management positions.
The company has more than 2,800 employees nationwide.
Mister Car Wash will remodel the former Capin locations - including upgrading equipment and redoing the buildings' interiors and exteriors - and relaunch them in a May grand opening.

Ron Peterson, CEO of Mister Car Wash, said in a news release that the company wants to expand further by acquiring more carwash facilities.
