Achmed the Dead Terrorist will likely feel right at home when Jeff Dunham moves him and his puppet colleagues to Vegas on Nov. 28.
That's when Dunham, the comic ventriloquist who's the mastermind, voice and comic brains behind the unruly band of irreverent, politically incorrect and supremely funny puppets, takes up residence in Planet Hollywood' Resort & Casino's 1,400-seat theater. In a show called “Not Playing with a Full Deck," Dunham and his cast will become full-fledged Vegas headliners, playing five days a week — two shows on Saturdays — through May 31.
“This will be the first time that I’ve ever been in a place more than a week or two," he said in a written statement. (The Vegas deal came together after we interviewed Dunham, 52, to chat about his show Saturday at Casino del Sol's AVA.)

"I’ve been on the road so long, all over the country and now all over the world. Because of YouTube, there’s fans everywhere. So now the people are going to be coming to us,” Dunham said. “I don’t know how long it will last or how long I’ll be here, but we’re certainly giving it the old college try. It seems like an interesting thing to do."
Tickets are $72 through Ticketmaster.
