Controversial actor Alec Baldwin has pulled out of his Nov. 15 appearance with UApresents at Centennial Hall.
In a tweet sent out Wednesday by the Alec Baldwin Foundation (@ABFalecbaldwin), Baldwin cited "poor ticket sales" as the reason.
"Sorry I won't be seeing you," he tweeted.
UApresents officials confirmed ticket sales were slow.
Baldwin, 56, the star of dozens of movies including "Beetlejuice" and "The Hunt for Red October," and on TV including "30 Rock" and hosting "Saturday Night Live" a record 16 times, announced in February that he was retiring from public life after he was accused of using a gay slur in an altercation with a journalist. At the time, he said he would continue acting.

According to the Internet Movie Database, Baldwin has five movies in various stages of production including "Mission: Impossible 5," a project with Warren Beatty and a guest appearance on NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
Baldwin was on the UApresents Spotlight Speakers series that includes Gabrielle Giffords and Mark Kelly on Oct. 26. Anyone who bought a ticket can get a refund at point of purchase.
This is the second show nixed from UApresents 2014-15 season, which kicks off Oct. 25 with Jay Leno. The Moscow Symphony Orchestra bowed out of its Oct. 31 performance not long after the season was announced, UApresents officials said. The orchestra reportedly canceled all of its West Coast dates, officials said.
