Beyond Bread, the small Tucson sandwich chain, knows how tough it is for residents to survive Tucson's brutal summers.
So it's offering an incentive to leave your air conditioned office, home or car and slip into one of their three locations for a quick lunch.
From now through Aug. 1, you can get a free loaf of bread with a $5 purchase.
This isn't your mass-produced white-wheat-rye-or-sourdough; this is artisan loaves baked to a crispy finish, with chewy, pillowy soft centers. You can get a baguette or a loaf of white, wheat, rustic, Ciabatta, rye or multigrain. Yummo.
There is a catch: you have to have a coupon, which were included in last Sunday's Arizona Daily Star. But you can also get one when you sign up for the restaurant's newsletters. It's easy; click the "subscribe to our news" link, register with your email address and you're in.
