Netflix is working with DreamWorks Animation on children’s series “Dinotrux,” based on Tucsonan Chris Gall’s books that are filled with menacing bullies — part-truck, part-dinosaur — that rumble and bulldoze their way through prehistoric Earth.
Three seasons of “Dinotrux” have been ordered and are set to debut on the service starting in the spring of 2015, according to Variety.
Gall's work, seen on posters, billboards and publications around the world, is known for its artistic narrative, powerful colors, distinctive linework and clarity.
"My art should do something," Gall told the Star in 2012. That philosophy has enabled him to build a career in commercial illustration for major companies and as an author and book illustrator.
“Dinotrux” is the latest of Netflix original kids’ series from DreamWorks Animation.

“Dinotrux” is “a property that creates a new world with stunning visuals and fantastic action combined with great characters and comedy,” Margie Cohn, DreamWorks Animation’s head of television, said in Variety. “In Dinotrux, the biggest guy and the smallest creature become best friends and through their unique partnership evolve their primitive world — a theme that we think will resonate with kids.”
