Cafe Poca Cosa, 110 E. Pennington St., will take a summer break starting Saturday. The Downtown Mexican restaurant will reopen Aug. 19.
About 12 to 15 of Poca Cosa's employees will go down and hang out in San Carlos for a few days, said Aurora Higginson, a hostess.
Little Cafe Poca Cosa, 151 N. Stone Ave., will remain open from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays-Fridays. The cash-only restaurant will take its summer break and close Aug. 24-29.

Summer Dishes Demos at Table Talk stores
Tucson Originals chefs are putting on summer cooking demos (with recipes) at Table Talk stores.
Janos Wilder will start off the Light Summer Dishes Demos at 1 p.m. Saturday at the store at 7876 N. Oracle Road. He'll feature his Chile Relleno Salad from his new cookbook "The Great Chiles Rellenos Book" (Ten Speed Press, $16.95).

Request a passport at the Tucson restaurant, which entitles you to a half-price dinner entree when a regular-priced entree is purchased.
Red Sky's entrees range from $15 to $35. The passport is good for an unlimited number of meals through September.

Melting Pot has a deal for Ladies Night Out
On July 29, enjoy a three-course meal at Ladies Night Out at The Melting Pot, 7395 N. La Cholla Blvd.
The $30 deal — plus tax and 18 percent tip — will be a cheese fondue; entree of Caribbean jerk seasoned sirloin, pork tenderloin, marinated breast of chicken, white shrimp and ravioli; and a chocolate fondue.
