Desert Museum public art workshop with Sasha Primo
Saturday, August 22, 6:30-8:30 p.m.: Take part in a collaborative visual map workshop at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum’s Cool Summer Nights (2021 N. Kinney Rd.).
Latin American artist Sasha Primo will make a special visit to Tucson to lead a series of community activities that bring people together through creativity, learning, play and shared experiences. The conversations and cultural exchange generated through these activities will inspire the public artwork Primo is creating for the city’s new inclusive playground at Morris K. Udall Park, in collaboration with the Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona and the City of Tucson Parks and Recreation Department. The playground is scheduled to open in 2027.
Please note that an admission fee or cultural pass is required to enter Desert Museum. Admission costs can be found at: https://www.desertmuseum.org/visit/. Contact your local library to ask about Cultural Passes, and find out more here: https://www.library.pima.gov/culturepasses/.
