Eegee’s kicked off its 55th year in January with a campaign to bring back a handful of its specialty ice drink flavors, from Galactic Grape to Dragon Berry.
It also introduced a new Eegee's flavor: Coffee.
That one is included on the Tucson-born chain's new breakfast menu, rolled out on Wednesday.
It's the latest chapter in the fast-food chain's history.
The Sonoran Burrito with chorizo is among the breakfast items on Eegee's new breakfast menu.
"We recognize it's a highly competitive space, but we felt that we could bring items to the consumer that would be appreciated and enjoyed," Eegee's CEO Chris Westcott said.
As of Wednesday, Eegee's locations statewide are now open at 6:30 a.m., three hours earlier than usual, and will serve the breakfast menu until 10.
"We felt that this was a way to grow the business, by adding a whole meal period," Westcott said.

The move comes a year after Eegee Acquisition Corp., a subsidiary of McLean, Virginia-based Gladstone Capital, acquired Eegee's after its previous owner, 39 North Capital, emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy last spring.
The coffee-flavored Eegee is made with real coffee and is sweetened. The menu also includes hot and iced coffee.
Eegee's is reintroducing its Red Licorice flavor as part of its 55th anniversary campaign. It will be available April 10-20 at all Eegee's locations.
Westcott said the menu of breakfast burritos and sandwiches was tailored to fit the restaurant's small kitchens, where they have focused throughout their history on making grinder sandwiches, French fries, chicken strips and the namesake fruit-based icy drinks.
"We have very small kitchens and limited cooking equipment, so we needed to be inventive and creative as to how we could bring these items to life," he said.
The menu includes a trio of breakfast sandwiches made with egg patties, cheese and choice of proteins including sausage, chorizo and ham. The Early Grinder Toastee is on the restaurant's toasted sub roll, while the Wafflewich sits on a maple waffle; their go-to bakery in Phoenix created a special bun for the Brioche Sunrise Sandwich.
Eegee's will use an egg product for its burritos, made with locally-sourced tortillas. The trio of burritos includes a Carnivore made with sausage, ham and chorizo; and the Sonoran Burrito made with chorizo and egg drizzled with a chipotle ranch dressing.
They also have a pair of specialty items: Cinnamon sugar fritters served with icing, and chicken tenders and fritters.
Prices range from $5-$10.
The regular Eegee's flavors will also be available during the breakfast service, including the monthly 55th anniversary throwback flavor.
Well, of course Eegee's has a coffee Eegee's on its breakfast menu.
Every month, Eegee's will unveil a new flavor based on old favorites; on Friday, Eegee's' 25 restaurants — 20 of them in the Tucson area, five in Phoenix — will start serving Red Licorice, a flavor that made its debut in January 2015.
The flavor reappeared in April of that year and hasn't been seen since. It will only be available through April 20.
Eegee’s kicked off the campaign in January by bringing back Galactic Grape, which was introduced as a special in October 2023. Last month it was Dragon Berry, which was briefly available in 2019 and again in late 2024.
