Country music legend Dolly Parton shared a video on social media Monday announcing that she is experiencing health issues and the Las Vegas shows that had been rescheduled from December 2025 to September 2026 are now cancelled.
Though Parton didn't say what the health issues were, she mentioned in the Instagram video her struggle with kidney stones and medication that made her "swimmy-headed."
Parton also noted problems with her digestive and immune systems, but assured fans that doctors said she was responding well to treatments.
"I have great doctors, and they assure me that everything is treatable,” she said.

Parton's sister had asked for prayers
Parton's sister, Freida Parton, created a panic when she asked for prayers for the country music star in an Oct. 7 Facebook post.
Parton posted a video on Instagram the next day, clarifying that her health challenges weren't as severe as many assumed, adding, "I ain't dead yet!"
In an interview with Tennessee news station WJHL-TV, Freida said Dolly was forgiving after the public misunderstanding.
"I just said what I said because Mama told us to pray. And, so I prayed, and I wanted people to pray for her because she wasn’t feeling good," Freida told the outlet. "It's like, hey, I didn’t mean it to happen. I just asked, you know, for people to pray for. Because that's the way I was raised, you know, pray."
