Fathers get reduced admission to the Pima Air & Space Museum on Sunday.
Tell them at the ticket counter that you're a dad and pay $7 instead of the usual $13 admission. Kids also get a discount, with admission $6 for ages 7 to 12. It's free for anyone younger than 7.
One of the world's largest air-and-space museums, the Pima Air & Space museum is home to more than 300 aircraft and spacecraft, some in the cooled hangar and some outside.
A North American T-28C Trojan recently returned to the display field after an extensive exterior restoration.
According to the museum, the U.S. Navy introduced the T-28 in 1953, more than three years after it entered service with the Air Force. The Navy's version, the T-28B, differed from the Air Force version primarily by having a larger engine and a three-blade propeller instead of a two-blade prop. The T-28C on display in Tucson is basically the same as the B-model. The Trojan served with the Navy until 1984.
