Buffalo's shooting total in June at 41 after two incidents Monday

A 39-year-old Buffalo man was in serious condition after being shot in the city's Hamlin Park neighborhood, while a 24-year-old Buffalo man was in stable condition after what the Buffalo Police Department called a targeted shooting on West Tupper Street.

There have been 10 shooting victims in the city since Saturday. 

Police say the 39-year-old man arrived at Erie County Medical Center in a civilian vehicle at approximately 7 p.m. Monday after suffering a gunshot wound.

Detectives say that incident happened on Donaldson Road in the city's Hamlin Park neighborhood, between Main Street and Route 33.

The targeted incident involving the 24-year-old happened at about 9:15 p.m. Monday on West Tupper, the border of the city's Allentown and Lower West Side neighborhoods. 

The shooting happened near the intersection of West Tupper and Virginia streets, police said. The victim was taken to ECMC by ambulance. 

Seven of the 41 Buffalo shootings this month have been fatal, according to police data.

On Sunday, four people were shot in three separate incidents, including a woman who was killed at a Buffalo block party. Those shootings had put the city's total of shooting victims in June at 37, according to a police spokesman. 

There were additional shootings on the East Side Sunday evening and Monday afternoon. In both cases, the victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

There were also two shootings on Saturday.
