Plenty to do in Tucson on first spring weekend

• Where: Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.

• When: Today and Sunday. Gates open at 8 a.m. No admission after 2 p.m.

• Cost: Free.

• Parking: Free at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, but requires walking. A Sun Tran shuttle runs from two parking sites to the base today and Sunday. Shuttle runs between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Return service only after 2 p.m. Round-trip fare: $2.50 (children and adults), $1.25 (seniors).

Fourth Avenue Street Fair

• Where: North Fourth Avenue between East University Boulevard and East Ninth Street. The arts and crafts extravaganza includes 35 food vendors and a variety of entertainment.

• When: Today and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Cost: Free.

• Parking: Avoid parking in the neighborhoods immediately surrounding the street fair. Park at a downtown meter, which are free on weekends, and hop on the free shuttle at the Pennington Street parking garage. Some UA parking garages are free on the weekend. And the Old Pueblo Trolley runs from the UA Main Gate to Fourth Avenue.

• Today: Los Angeles Angels at Colorado Rockies at 1:10 p.m. at Hi Corbett Field, 3400 E. Camino Campestre, in Reid Park

• Sunday: San Francisco Giants at Arizona Diamondbacks, 1:05 p.m. at Tucson Electric Park, 2500 E. Ajo Way

• Tickets: Range from $4 to $25 depending on the ballpark and the seat.

• Parking: Lot at Hi Corbett is free. Shuttles run from El Con to the ballpark. TEP parking is $5 per car or try Kino Sports Complex lot (across Ajo Way) for free.
