Ronald Bruce Bigger gets into a fight at the Circle K at 4702 E. Speedway. After being treated in the emergency room of Tucson Medical Center he's referred to Dr. Bradley Schwartz for follow-up treatment.
Sept. 6, 2004
Bigger is arrested on suspicion of assault and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center.
Sept. 18, 2004
Bigger is released from jail.
Oct. 5, 2004
5:30 p.m., Dr. Schwartz is seen leaving his office with date Lisa Goldberg.
5:30 p.m., Dr. Schwartz arrives for a group counseling session with Dr. Joel Heerboth, 268 E. River Road.
6:45 p.m. — Dr. Schwartz leaves the counseling session.

6:57 p.m. — Someone using Dr. Schwartz's phone calls the Quik Mart store across the street from Dr. David Brian Stidham's office at 4727 N. First Ave. The call lasts 41 seconds.
7 p.m., approximately — Quik Mart clerk Jennifer Dainty allows a man to use the Quik Mart phone to make a number of calls. She later identifies the man as Bigger.
7:26 p.m. — The alarm to Dr. Stidham's office is activated.
7:46 p.m. — A call is made to Dr. Schwartz from the Denny's Restaurant at 3655 E. Speedway.
8 p.m. — Dr. Schwartz picks Goldberg up at his residence near Camp Lowell and Swan Road.
8:19 p.m. — Bigger uses a taxi driver's cell phone to call Dr. Schwartz's cellular phone. The taxi driver had picked him up at The Bunny Ranch, 3650 E. Speedway. The driver then drops Bigger off at Karuna's Thai restaurant, 1917 E. Grant Road, where Dr. Schwartz and Goldberg are dining.
10:30 p.m. — Dr. Stidham's body is discovered outside his office by an employee of the medical plaza. His car is reported stolen.
10:40 p.m. — The Pima County Sheriff's Department arrives at the homicide scene.
10:52 p.m. — Dr. Schwartz pays for Bigger's room at the Residence Inn at Wilmot Road and Speedway with his American Express card.
Oct. 6, 2004
12:01 a.m. — Deputies wake Daphne Stidham up and inform her of her husband's death.
3:50 a.m. — The coroner arrives to examine Dr. Stidham's body.
8:30 a.m. — The autopsy on Dr. Stidham starts. Dr. David C. Winston rules the death a homicide and says Dr. Stidham died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
9:45 p.m. — Dr. Stidham's car, a 1992 Lexus, is found six miles from the crime scene at 3710 E. Bellevue St., the Bellevue Towers Apartments, near East Speedway and North Dodge Boulevard.
Oct. 8, 2004
Lourdes Lopez provides a statement implicating Dr. Schwartz in the murder of Dr. Stidham to Pima County sheriff's Detective Jill Murphy.
Oct. 15, 2004
2 p.m. — Dr. Schwartz is interviewed under oath in connection with a medical malpractice lawsuit.
3 p.m. — Bigger is taken into custody on outstanding warrants from Indiana and Iowa.
9:45 p.m. — Dr. Schwartz is arrested at his apartment.
Oct. 25, 2004
Dr. Schwartz and Bigger are each indicted on conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and first-degree murder.
Feb. 28, 2006
Jury selection scheduled in Dr. Schwartz's trial.
