A new lineup of comics and puzzles debuts Saturday in the Arizona Daily Star and on Tucson.com — and we’re thrilled to have you take a look.
You’ll notice our refreshed menu includes bringing back beloved comics, adding features that might be brand new to you, and replacing others that were previously in our pages. Our print portfolio is loaded with favorite classics “Blondie,” “Beetle Bailey” and others, as well as retaining the Sheffer Crossword and debuting a new Newsday crossword, King Classic Sudoku and more.
The Sunday edition’s offerings include “Dennis the Menace,” “Carpe Diem” and other popular comic strips.
We’ve also enhanced the comics and games on our website by adding two platforms that promise to grab — and keep — your attention.

There’s a lot to be excited about.
Funny pages, horoscopes and crosswords have been a staple of newspapers for generations, providing fun, comfort and entertainment to readers of all ages.
Over the years, we’ve come to learn that our loyal readers and subscribers steadfastly rely on us to provide the best and most current offerings available.
And we’ve continually transformed to meet those needs while always working to reach and engage with new readers.
Today’s changes allow us to continue the crucial mission of investing in essential and memorable journalism for our communities. That’s a commitment our journalists take seriously every day. We’re extraordinarily honored to play that role.
I’m very proud of the daily excellence of the Star’s local journalism, including but not limited to work like the writing of Tony Davis on environmental and water issues; Emily Bregel on the border; Ellie Wolfe’s coverage of the University of Arizona and Charles Borla’s coverage of local government; metro columns by Tim Steller; real estate stories by Gabriela Rico and coverage of other business issues by David Wichner; science stories by Henry Brean; profiles, restaurant and entertainment coverage by Cathalena Burch; colorful and compelling local sports coverage from the Wildcats to the region’s high schools; and prizewinning photojournalism.
We appreciate your support of that local journalism. And we thank you for reading.
