Authorities are searching after two bodies were spotted floating in a wash near Rio Rico.
The search began after a report of two people who were possibly swept away in the water on Thursday, the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office said.
Sheriff's deputies spotted the bodies floating in a wash near Exit 17 of Interstate 19 on Thursday, the sheriff's office said.
Due to dangerous water conditions, the deputies were unable to retrieve them at the time, and search efforts are continuing, the sheriff's office said Friday.
