SV police make arrest in 1984 Texas killing
Sierra Vista police helped solve a 26-year-old Texas homicide on Monday, arresting a man accused of stabbing a teenager to death.
Ryland "Shane" Absalon, 43, was arrested without incident during a traffic stop Monday morning along Arizona 92, according to a Sierra Vista Police Department news release.
Absalon had an outstanding arrest warrant in connection with the September 1984 stabbing death of Ginger Hayden, 18, of Fort Worth, Texas, the release said.
Victim is identified in midtown slaying
A man killed at a midtown Tucson apartment complex Sunday morning has been identified as Michael A. Moreno.
Moreno, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene after Tucson police found him in the courtyard of the Seneca Village Apartments, 3201 E. Seneca St, near East Grant and North Country Club roads.

Police were responding to a 911 call of a fight at the complex. Witnesses reported seeing a man about 30 years old fleeing in a white sedan with California plates.
Police obtained an arrest warrant Tuesday evening for Robert Conrad Sainz, 25, Tucson police spokesman Sgt. Matt Ronstadt said.
Sainz is facing a first-degree murder charge.
