Rabbits attack!
A movie filmed in and around Colossal Cave Mountain Park will be shown July 29 to help raise money for park activities.
"Night of the Lepus," a 1972 sci-fi film about residents of a small Arizona town fighting giant, marauding rabbits, will be shown at 7:30 p.m. at the Rincon Valley Farmer's Market barn at 12500 E. Old Spanish Trail, just west of the Rincon Creek General Store.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for kids and free for kids 5 and younger. Depending on the turnout for the film, other movies, TV programs and other features filmed in and around the park will be shown monthly at the barn, said J.J. Lamb, the park's education director and project manager.
"We'd like to turn it into a film series, depending on how well this (movie) is received," she said.
