Fritz Ficke enthusiastically discussed his 1927 Gardner with visitors at Saturday's classic car show at Little Anthony's Diner, 7010 E. Broadway.
Ficke, who has owned the rare classic for about two years, "never thought I'd like an old car," he said. But "I just fell in love with it immediately."
Alonzo Caicedo was enthralled with the car, along with 6-year-old daughter Lucy.
"I try to tell her how it was way back in the days," Caicedo said. "My dad taught me the same way."
Ficke estimates there are about 300 Gardners left, another two of which are in Page, in Northern Arizona.
"You'll probably never see another one," he said. "I still walk out to my garage and say 'wow.' "
