People from all over Tucson gathered Saturday evening to find a place in the La Encantada courtyard to put down blankets, chairs and even couches for a free movie presented by 92.9 The Mountain.
The movie series features a different movie the last Saturday of the month. The series continues through Oct. 30.
Saturday's showing was of the new "Alice in Wonderland" film directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp.
The event was kicked off with an "Alice in Wonderland" trivia contest starting at 7 p.m. It included prizes and giveaways such as $5 gift certificates to Frost, A Gelato Shoppe.
The movie started at 8 p.m., and viewers were treated to free popcorn.
"It's a fun and easy thing to do on a Saturday night, especially with your family," said Alexis Rodriguez, attending the showing for the first time with her family.
