Dexter King
Dexter Scott King, who dedicated much of his life to shepherding the civil rights legacy of his parents, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, died Monday after battling prostate cancer. He was 62.
The King Center in Atlanta, which Dexter King served as chairman, said the younger son of the civil rights icon died at his home in Malibu, California. His wife, Leah Weber King, said in a statement that he died “peacefully in his sleep.”
“The sudden shock is devastating," Martin Luther King III, the older brother of Dexter King, said in a statement. "It is hard to have the right words at a moment like this. We ask for your prayers at this time for the entire King family.”

Stocks gained on Monday, building on last week’s gangbusters rally, with the Dow crossing the 38,000 mark for the first time ever.
The Dow rose 138 points, or 0.4%, ending the day at 38,001.81. The S&P 500 gained 0.2% and the Nasdaq Composite added 0.3%.
The S&P 500 also closed at an all-time high, reaching 4,850.43.
Year-end price targets for the Dow range from from 34,000 to 45,000, according to Capex.
The S&P 500 on Friday entered bull market territory, rallying more than 20% off its lows and hitting a new record.

In fact, the pair hinted that they’re dating each other during Monday’s episode of Hudson’s talk show “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” where Common appeared – armed with a large floral bouquet – as one of her guests.
“I’m a host, so I have to ask you this question,” Hudson said, going on to ask, “Are you dating anyone?”
Without naming names, he said that he’s in a relationship with “one of the most beautiful people I ever met in my life.”
