With an election year comes the blight of campaign signs, endless political ads, and conniving by the abortion industry to increase profits by legalizing the killing of more preborn babies. Proposition 139 is the weapon placed on the 2024 AZ ballot by the Planned Parenthood crowd and Democrats for just this purpose. Here are four of the many downsides of this disturbing amendment that you need to know before voting.
While 90% of Arizonans favor limiting abortion to 15 weeks or earlier, there are loopholes in Section A1 of Prop. 139 that enable abortionists to kill preborn babies throughout the entire pregnancy. Even at 15 weeks of gestation, babies’ hearts are beating, brains are processing, and nerves are capable of feeling pain. The only thing more brutal than killing babies is killing viable or full-term babies, as this proposed law allows.

Section A3 of the proposed amendment uses the language “every individual“ to describe who is eligible to abort their baby. Since “every individual“ includes vulnerable minor children, this extreme amendment would effectively “abort” the right of parents to know if their daughter is pressured to abort. Since the abortion can be done secretly, parents lose the ability to protect their minor underage children from the risks of abortion. However, in instances where an abortion leads to medical/mental health complications, the child’s parents will undoubtedly be required to pay for life-saving treatments.
Section A3 also prohibits “penalizing anyone aiding or assisting” someone to get an abortion. This broad language will cause horrendous unintended consequences. For instance, could the amendment protect pedophiles who “assist” (force) abortions on children in order to destroy evidence of their crimes? Could Prop 139 protect pimps who force abortion onto their impregnated women to get them quickly back on the streets? The many loopholes in this poorly written bill will require litigation at huge taxpayer expense.
Proposition 139’s creation of a fundamental right to abortion will produce further difficulties. For example, will taxpayers now be expected to pay for abortions, putting even greater strains on bankrupt government budgets? This question is currently being adjudicated in MI, where a ballot measure similar to Prop 139 was passed. Michiganders are unfortunately learning too late of the misinformation they were fed about their abortion bill. AZ voters can avoid the same mistake by voting “no” on Prop 139.
As I urge you to vote “no” on this terrible amendment, some will object with “my body, my choice.” The obvious flaw to that specious slogan is there are actually two bodies involved in an abortion, and one is destroyed without any choice. In the civilized society we crave, is it ideal when mothers are paying someone to kill their unwanted children? Should greedy abortionists profit from killing children who are conceived by distressed mothers in crisis pregnancies?
As you weigh the merits of 139, it is useful to know that Planned Parenthood, which profits from abortions, was founded by Margaret Sanger, a disgusting white eugenicist and racist who called minorities “human weeds.” Sanger was a supporter of the Ku Klux Klan and articulated her hate at many KKK meetings and conferences. Is it mere coincidence (or planned genocide) that 80% of Planned Parenthood surgical abortion facilities are within walking distance of minority neighborhoods and 60% are located within minority zip codes? In light of Sanger’s racism, is it surprising that abortionists kill black babies at three times the rate of white babies?
Further, the Democratic Party has historically been the party of black oppression. Democrats advocated for black slavery and started the civil war. Democrats passed abusive Jim Crowe laws from the 1880s to the 1960s, relegating blacks to second class citizenship including segregated schools, bathrooms, drinking fountains, etc. Democrats created the Ku Klux Klan to terrorize and lynch blacks. The percentage of Democrat members of congress voting in favor of the 1964 Civil Rights Bill was a far lower percentage than Republicans. Racist Democrat Senator Strom Thurman so strenuously opposed the Civil Rights Bill that he filibustered it for 24 hours and 18 minutes straight, the longest individual filibuster in Senate history.
Today, Democratic leadership overwhelmingly supports Proposition 139, which will lead to the killing of more innocent preborn babies, especially black babies. Prevent the carnage by voting “no” on 139.
Proverbs 6:17: God abhors … the hands that shed innocent blood.
Isaiah 5:20: Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil.
Voting “no” on Proposition 139 is the righteous thing to do. I hope you will take a stand and choose life for defenseless babies.
