Greg Hansen hit the nail on the head in his recent Sunday Notebook column in regards to the Mayor's ill-fated desire to ruin the jewel of Tucson city golf. The Randolph Golf Complex is the only money maker among the five city courses, helping to support all the courses. Mayor wants to waste $40 million to tear it up so a few folks can walk across the green grass? I'm sure there are plenty of city projects that could use the money. Members of our Pima Masters have met with the Greens committee, city council members, the Army Corps of Engineers and other stakeholders about this idiotic decision. All we hear is "It's a done deal, the mayor wants it." She should check with the citizenry to see if it's something they want. This decision is absolute lunacy!
