On April 6, the FBI shut down the Backpage.com web site for its advertising of Escorts and alleged fascilitation of sex trafficking. Guess now the adult women working independently, will be pushed out onto the streets needing abusive pimps for protection. Many are single moms financially supporting their children.
Anyway, Backpage.com is where individuals posted ads to sell various personal items like autos, motorcycles, furniture, jewelry, houses, sports equipment, AND firearms. Well, all of that has been halted! It was the primary place where individual sales of firearms occurred nationwide. In many states, a Federal Firearms Licensee has to do the transfer between the private parties, but not in AZ. Years ago, Craigslist.com stopped allowing sales of firearms. Backpage.com was the only local venue left to sell a personal firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition. The FBI just gave the gun control crowd a major national win!
