As the captain of a boat on the Maine coast, Turkey, Tonga, and the British Virgin Islands, I am well aware of "Duty, Honor, Responsibility, Leadership"--- the reasons a captain never abandons the ship. The captain not only has a moral responsibility, but this has been codified into maritime law. A captain abandoning a sinking ship implies cowardice, negligence, irresponsibility, and selfishness.
Whether or not the threat to Qatar-donated Air Force One was "legitimate" (questionable) to provoke the food cart escape of Trump from the plane, leaving press corps and cabinet members to fly on the "targeted" decoy plane, the captain abandoned the "ship" before everyone was safe. According to Trump, other lives are disposable but not his. Seems this labels him "coward, negligent, irresponsible, selfish, and immoral."
Perhaps as Captain Trump sees that America has become a "sinking ship" under his leadership, he will also abandon it. There's always hope.
