Word is out that Trump may be named on a new aircraft carrier earlier scheduled to be named after Doris Miller. As you should know Miller, during the Pearl Harbor debacle rushed to a smoking deck and took control of an aircraft gun he had no training in. He opened fire on Japanese planes, downing at least one of them. Afterwards he helped carry wounded sailors to safety. How could these heroic feats possibly compare to those of cowardly Trump, a many time draft dodger who when a wisp of danger arose hid in a food carrier. The navy indicates it may name another ship after Miller, perhaps a rowboat. If Trump had an ounce of empathy or humility about him he would bow out but of course this horrible person has none. Miller died aboard the USS Liscome Bay when it was sunk by Japanese torpedoes on November 24, 1943. A salute to Doris Miller, a true American, patriot and legend.
