Monday November 9, 2026 our current Senate votes on the ‘Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act’ or ‘the permitting reform measure.’ Citizens Climate Lobby supports it, insisting on permitting reform to further huge clean energy projects.
Not reading the nation will legislators commit political suicide?
Absent public input, they are trying to pass BAAJA before January 3rd, also making it easier to build data centers, to develop fossil fuels, and to wantonly dispose of mine tailings (all unregulated, all on OUR public lands).

This is a multi-partisan issue.
Neither Kelly nor Gallego will commit to their vote.
Call at 520-475-5177 (Kelly in Tucson) and 480-697-3600 (Gallego in Phoenix/Tucson’s office is moving). Say “Hands off our public lands until we have a better deal. This bill needs more work and public input.”
