Bailey Doogan
Born in 1941. Bailey Doogan is a professor emerita at the UA. Her works, paintings, drawings and film, provide profoundly intimate looks at life, often her own in her self-images.
Robert Colescott
1925-2009. Colescott taught art at the University of Arizona from 1983 to 1995. His bright message-thick paintings were filled with over-sized and often cartoonish figures.
Fritz Scholder
1937-2005. The UA graduate was determined to address the myth of the American Indian through his works. He sculpted massive, imposing figures. And his paintings, a mixture of Pop Art and Abstract Expressionism, exploded with color and commentary.
