HOW THEY MATCH UP

• The series: Arizona is 3-1 overall against the Titans, with all games being played in Tucson. The Wildcats' loss, 67-66, came on Dec. 1, 1983. Arizona won the last matchup 91-65 on Nov. 28, 2007.
• Fullerton overview: The Titans are struggling after their point guard, Jacques Streeter, transferred to UTEP, two other starters ran out of eligibility, and two of their best players, forward Andre Hardy and cen- ter Jer'Vaughn Johnson, were hurt at the start of the season. Johnson is back from a knee injury but not in top shape yet. The Titans do have a steady point guard in Orange County juco transfer Perry Webster, as well as accomplished scorers in guard Devon Peltier and forward Orane Chin.
• Who's out: F Andre Hardy is out for several more weeks with an ankle injury that required surgery in late summer.
KEY PLAYERS
PERRY WEBSTER Cal State-Fullerton
Webster will not dazzle you with athleticism, but he is a steady ball-handler who demands that opponents apply pressure. He has a 4.1-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio, sixth highest in the country.
KYLE FOGG Arizona
It probably doesn't matter much that Fogg is playing against his hometown team, since the Titans don't often recruit locally. But it could be a good chance to shake off a minor shooting slump.
SIDELINES
Cats focused on objective
With its seven wins all coming by 23 points or more this season, Arizona has yet to display a letdown problem. Tonight's game will provide another test: After Fullerton, the Wildcats get a crack at 18th-ranked BYU, which embarrassed them 99-69 last Dec. 28. In that game, guard Jimmer Fredette set the McKale Center scoring record with 49 points. "We all talk about it," UA forward Kevin Parrom said. "But at the same time, we just have to worry about the next game."

Give me your 20
UA freshman guard Jordin Mayes wears No. 20 not only because of his connection to the Stoudamire family - both Damon and cousin Salim Stoudamire wore 20 for the Wildcats - but also for a practical reason. At Westchester (Calif.), "I first wore it because we didn't have any more numbers," Mayes said. "Then when I came here, I knew they wore 20, and I had a chance to get it, so I wanted to wear it." Reserve guard Dondre Wise wore No. 20 last season but switched to 0 this season.
Miller feeling ill
UA coach Sean Miller did not attend his scheduled media news conference Tuesday because of an illness. But he did coach the Wildcats in practice, according to spokesman Richard Paige.
HE SAID IT
"(Webster) is the consummate floor general. He makes everyone around him much better, and when he's manning the ship you feel very comfortable. Chin is very talented, and Peltier is a very aggressive scoring guard who takes a lot of threes. They're a team that likes three-point shots."
