The Pac-12 delivered the kind of conference schedule that Sean Miller should be happier with this season.
When the conference announced tonight the exact dates, times and television coverage for most conferences games, the schedule revealed that UA will only have one road trip with two full days between games – and that’s an early January swing to Oregon when the Wildcats aren’t even in school.
All four of the Wildcats’ two-game Pac-12 road trips last season had two days between games, and Miller complained about being away for a total of four or five days. Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott had said schools should charter home between games if concerned about the time away from class but indicated small modifications were possible.

Meanwhile, UA's updated schedule revealed that the Wildcats received prime recruiting and fan exposure for its marquee nonconference games against Gonzaga and Michigan at McKale Center: Both will be on Saturdays at 3:15 and covered by ESPN, so will span into early evening hours on the East Coast. No doubt ESPN announcers will talk a lot about the renovated arena, which should be fully completed by then.
