Veterinarian Lystra Lloyd closed her practice, Grant Road Small Animal Hospital, in June, but that hasn't stopped her from treating furry patients.
Lloyd has started Star 9 Ranch Small Animal Mobile Service to bring her practice to them.
There had been a vet clinic at 1675 W. Grant Road since 1982. Lloyd joined the practice as a part owner in 1991 and took over the hospital in 2000. Lloyd started offering mobile services while still running Grant Road Small Animal Hospital. When it came time to renew the lease on her building she decided to go all-mobile.
"I had elderly clients that couldn't come to me, so I offered to go to them. I had animals that couldn't be brought into the clinic, and I realized it was a good service," Lloyd said.
Star 9's website is under construction, but clients can reach her at 225-9018.
