Top tips on how to brag
● Come up with a brag bag - a list of your accomplishments, passions, interests and colorful details - that describe who you are personally and professionally. Update it weekly.
● Take opportunities in the lunchroom or on the elevator to make co-workers or supervisors aware of projects you are working on.
● Focus on a few key contacts, people who can make a difference in your career, and make a point to get in front of them.
● Avoid taking undue credit or coming across as disingenuous.
● Get creative with why people should be interested in you.
● When asked what you do, show excitement about your work, your family and your hobbies.
● Know when to brag.
