This season: Brielmaier spent his third season on the bench as an assistant coach for the Cavaliers and appeared to gain a bigger voice on the staff once head coach Tyronn Lue took over for the fired David Blatt in January.
How he got here: A onetime walk-on who earned a scholarship for most of his UA career, Brielmaier began his coaching career as an undergraduate assistant under interim UA coach Russ Pennell in 2008-09, then joined the San Antonio Spurs as a workout coach. The Cavaliers hired him in 2013.
