From the zany, incisive minds of Matt Stone and Trey Parker comes "Team America: World Police," which opens Friday. The two are best known for their TV series, "South Park," but they've been involved in other movie projects:
Alferd Packer: The Musical (1996)
- A weak debut effort, directed by Parker, was also titled "Cannibal! The Musical." Parker and Stone gratingly try to find their film legs in a gory, unfunny musical about a cannibalistic frontiersman.
Orgazmo (1997)
- This cult hit is the project in which Stone and Parker began to show their moviemaking potential. Parker directs and stars in a tale of a Mormon missionary who accidentally becomes a porn star.
BASEketball (1998)
- Neither Parker nor Stone had a hand in directing this movie, but both starred as goofball friends who invent a hybrid sport in their front yard, a sport that they parlay into national fame.
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999)
- In their last movie effort, they brought their riotous TV show into a widescreen explosion of vulgarity and biting satire. The movie features the crew of foul-mouthed kids getting caught up in a war against Canada.
