The California desert rock duo Eagles of Death Metal are home in U.S. this week and have issued their first statement since the terror attacks at a Paris club where they were performing.
The pair — Jesse "Boots Electric" Hughes and Joshua "Baby Duck" Homme — and their backing players escaped unharmed. But among the 80 people killed in the attack at Le Bataclan were members of the band's merchandise crew and "record company comrades."
In the band's statement, they said they were "horrified and still trying to come to terms with what happened in France."
"Our thoughts and hearts are first and foremost with our brother Nick Alexander, our record company comrades Thomas Ayad, Marie Mosser and Manu Perez, and all the friends and fans whose lives were taken in Paris, as well as their friends, families, and loved ones," the band said in the statement.
