Local bar and music lounge Plush is currently undergoing renovations and will reopen on Feb. 8, 2011.
Instead of throwing away old items in the renovation process, Plush employees Nicole Paulus and Kini Wadé organized a yard sale to help rid of the bar's funky decorations, furniture, fabrics, glassware and light fixtures.
"Plush has really offered a lot to the culture of music in Tucson and we should commemorate some of the things that went on over there" said Wadé. "A lot of the stuff that we've gotten rid of so far has been in Plush for the last 10 years."
Manager Randy Lopez said new renovations to Plush will include a "horseshoe" bar that will service both front and back areas, booths instead of tables in the front room, higher ceilings and a more spacious back room. Other changes will include a vintage band "T-shirt wall" and new decorations.
