Those who want to catch “Man v. Food” star Adam Richman in action should try to head to Fourth Avenue tonight.
Richman, who will try to devour a 12-pattie burger at Lindy’s, 431 N. Fourth Ave., is at the diner and is loosely scheduled to eat between 7 and 7:30 p.m., according to workers speaking to a throng of fans outside the restaurant. Customers who eat the burger get their picture on the wall and don’t have to pay for the burger.
At 2 p.m. today the line outside Lindy’s was already 50 deep. Richman was said to be inside preparing for the burger challenge. Management told customers they could dine inside but would not be allowed to “camp out,” and would have to eat promptly, pay their check and make way for new customers.
“Man vs. Food,” a Travel Channel reality program, follows Richman around the country as he samples local cuisine and pulls off enormous, often disgusting eating stunts. The Tucson-set show is scheduled to air Dec. 2.
