Video of an armed Tucson woman shot and killed in December during a confrontation with police has been released by the multi-agency group that investigates local officer-involved shootings.
Leana Estrada, 34, was fatally shot about 10 p.m. Dec. 29 while holding a handgun in the front yard of a house in the 1900 block of South Montezuma Avenue, near East 29th Street and South Alvernon Way. Police went to the house after a 911 call about yelling from an apparent domestic violence incident and a gunshot.
The Pima Regional Critical Incident Team on Friday released video and audio of the confrontation.
The two Tucson police officers who fired their weapons were identified as Chase Bryan, who has been with the department three years; and Dennis Simmons, who has been with the department nearly two years.
