Visit survivors: Enrich the lives of Holocaust survivors through social contact and companionship. With limited transportation options available, many of these seniors are isolated and have little or no family in Tucson. Most speak English but some speak only Russian, so if you have Russian language skills, this is a good opportunity to practice.
Education assistant: Volunteer at a museum where antique and contemporary miniatures are displayed. Help staff develop interpretive tools for use in the galleries to ensure the miniatures will be shared in an entertaining and interactive way with community members of all ages. Education assistants work well with the public and as part of a team, encourage imagination, support inquiry and are detail-oriented.
