Tucson emergency crews pulled two people and a dog from a vehicle in a swift-water rescue Thursday afternoon in midtown.
The rescue occurred near North Santa Rosa Avenue and East Lee Street, near North Rosemont Boulevard and East Pima Street.
Tucson Fire officials said 911 callers reported a car stuck in rising water and a short time later an occupant of the car also called 911 to report they were trapped.
Fire crews walked out in formation to the car and rescued the driver and a dog from the vehicle. The crew then returned to get the other occupant to safety. No injuries were reported and the two people were taken home by Tucson police.
Meanwhile in an unrelated incident, several cars were involved in a wreck on the city's south side. The crash happened on South Nogales Highway near West Irvington Road.
