If you’ve got satellite service or watch TV over the air, Nine is not on your side.
Since Saturday afternoon, signal interference has rendered KGUN (Channel 9) unwatchable and inaudible to satellite and over-the-air viewers. Cable viewers are unaffected.
Viewers are reporting a jumbled, pixilated broadcast with random bursts of audio.
KGUN vice president and general manager Julie Brinks said the station is working on identifying the signal disturbance and hopes to solve the problem today.
“We have been having some kind of signal interference in the microwave link between the studios and the tower on Mount Lemmon,” Brinks said. “We are working on it and have equipment coming in that will analyze and pinpoint where the interference is coming from. This is something we’ve never experienced.”

Brinks said viewers don’t need to do anything to make sure their signal is fixed.
