Massive outdoor sporting goods store; Bass Pro Shops opens today on Tucson’s south side.
For today’s grand opening, there will be a concert, celebration and special savings on gear, fishing equipment, hunting gear and outdoor apparel.
Singer-songwriter Celeste Kellogg will headline entertainment at 5 p.m., followed by a grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting at 6 p.m.
Waders hang as a display in the new shop, which opens today.
The events are free and open to the public at the new store, 1500 E. Tucson Marketplace Blvd., with The Bridges at Park Avenue and Interstate 10.
Fifteen percent of every dollar spent during the “evening of conservation” event will be donated to a local conservation group.
