The NFTA Transit Police and the Erie County District Attorney's Office have declined to release the name of the 17-year-old girl who was killed in a stabbing at the NFTA bus station in downtown Buffalo on May 29.
Three deaths happened last year but were ruled homicides this year. Because of that and for statistical purposes, the Buffalo Police Department counts them as homicides in 2020.
Timothy Wolniewicz, 39, died in August on Hollywood Avenue and his death was ruled a homicide in February, Buffalo police said. Wolniewicz died of blunt force trauma, according to police.
The death of 7-month-old King Jordan in September was ruled a homicide in January.
The remains of Dhamyl Roman-Audiffred, 29, were found in a fire pit on Box Avenue in September. Roman-Audiffred traveled to Buffalo from Florida in September with a couple and their 3-year-old son. The child was found sleeping on a West Side porch and his parents' remains were found torched in a vehicle on Tonawanda Street. Roman-Audiffred's death was ruled a homicide in March, police said.
