A man who had been shot early Friday morning southwest of Tucson died Sunday, authorities say.
Aboutt 5:10 a.m. on Aug. 21, William Fitzgerald, 39, was found shot inside a vehicle which had crashed into a wall in the 3100 block of West Capistrano Road, near West Bilby Road and South Cardinal Avenue, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said in a news release Sunday.
Fitzgerald was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. On Aug. 23, he died of his injuries, the release said.
Investigators believe a second vehicle, a dark colored sedan, was involved in the incident, the Sheriff's said Friday.
The investigation is ongoing and no suspect has been identified yet.
The Sheriff's Department released footage of the incident captured on a nearby home surveillance camera which appears to show two cars driving down a residential street before several gunshots ring out.
