Fire crews from several departments battled a large fire at the Pinal Air Park northwest of Tucson late Tuesday.
The blaze broke out in an airplane-parts building of Evergreen Maintenance Center, which is a tenant of the air park.
Smoke and flames were visible from Interstate 10 as the fire raged.
Joel Engel, a manager at Evergreen, said the blaze burned from one end of the building to the other. The parts facility is about 100 feet by 400 feet in size, he said.
There were no employees in the building and no one was injured in the fire, he said.
Engel said the building contained airplane parts and overhaul equipment.
No planes were near the facility, he said.
Evergreen operates an airplane repair and storage facility at the air park.

Engel said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
Flames were visible to residents miles away.
The fire was reported shortly after 8 p.m. Crews were still dousing the fire as of 11 p.m.
About 40 firefighters from several agencies, including Avra Valley, Northwest and Picture Rocks fire departments, helped battle the blaze.
The 2,080-acre air park is on the west side of I-10 just north of the Pima-Pinal county line, about 30 minutes northwest of downtown Tucson.
Much of the former military base is owned by Pinal County.
The Silverbell Army Heliport, where the Army National Guard does its helicopter training, is also at the air park.
No fire officials were immediately available to provide additional details as of press time.
