A Tucson man who failed to disclose his felony fraud conviction when hired to teach chemistry at Pima Community College had his probation revoked Monday and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Patrick Allen Rundhaug, 42, was sentenced by Pima County Superior Court Judge Richard Nichols, said court spokesman Dave Ricker.
Rundhaug was booked into jail May 30 on charges he violated his probation for a fraud conviction.
In a court petition, Rundhaug was accused of several violations, including failure to submit copies of financial records and tax returns, making substantial purchases including a 2007 Chevrolet truck and a laptop computer without the permission of his probation officer, failure to notify his employer of the conviction and failure to abide by his approved weekly schedule.
Nichols sentenced Rundhaug to 10 years on a fraudulent schemes charge, crediting him with 364 days served prior to sentencing. Rundhaug was also sentenced to two years on a theft charge, to be served consecutively.

Rundhaug was released from prison in December 2005 after serving more than four years for fraudulent schemes. He was arrested in 2000 on charges he was offering stock for sale in the chemical company he owned, although the stock didn't exist. He was previously convicted of providing incorrect names and addresses to his suppliers to avoid paying his bills.
