Studio Productions is presenting the musical comedy "Nunsense" the next two weekends at St. Francis in the Foothills United Methodist Church, 4625 E. River Road.
The play has won awards and accolades for many years. The musical was created by Dan Goggin.
The St. Francis performances are co-directed by Samantha Cormier and Robert Encila, St. Francis' music director, and star Cormier, Sue Bishop, Maria Gallardo, Amie Boerup and Rebecca Sweet. David Craig directs the music.
A promotional flier for "Nunsense" says, "Our nuns sing and dance their way through a rather bizarre and funny fundraiser strictly for your entertainment."
The performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Jan. 18 and 19. Matinees will be at 3 p.m. Sunday and Jan 20.
Ticket prices are $20 for adults and $18 for students, seniors and members of the military. The rate for groups of 10 or more is $15 per person.
