A group of meteorologists is raining on "Miss Congeniality's" parade over the film's famous "perfect date" scene.
More than 25 years after the beloved romcom premiered, fans are still celebrating "Miss Congeniality" Day every year on April 25.
It comes from a scene in the film where Miss United States pageant host, Stan Fields (William Shatner), asks Miss Rhode Island, Cheryl Frasier (Heather Burns), to describe her perfect date.
"I'd have to say April 25 because it's not too hot, not too cold. All you need is a light jacket," she responds.
But is she correct? Here's what meteorologists have to say.

With the spring equinox falling in March, April typically delivers mild to moderate temperatures around the country every year. But that doesn't mean April 25 consistently has the "perfect" conditions.

Weather forecast platform WeatherBug analyzed years of weather trends, dating back to 2018, to determine the day that most consistently has both comfortable temperatures and minimal rainfall across the country.
The company's meteorologists found that the so-called "perfect date" for weather actually happens in the fall: dates in the first week of October ranked in the top 10 for both average comfortable temperatures and minimal rainfall.
The top spot went to Oct. 8, which, on average, sees less than 0.06 inches of rainfall and a temperature of 66 degrees, according to the analysis.
April 25, which ranked as the No. 80 "perfect date" on the list, had an average temperature of 60 degrees and nearly 0.13 inches of rainfall on average nationwide.
