PHOENIX — The FBI Phoenix field office is investigating after a shooting occurred outside Immigration and Customs Enforcement headquarters in downtown Phoenix.
On the afternoon of July 14, "one or more unidentified people discharged several rounds" that struck the exterior of the Enforcement and Removal Operations building near Central Avenue and Monte Vista Road, according to FBI Phoenix spokesperson Kevin W. Smith.
There were no injuries reported in connection to the incident, Smith said.
The Arizona Republic attempted to reach ICE for comment but was directed to the FBI Phoenix statement.
No further details or updates were available.
"Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area of North Central Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, or who has information regarding this shooting, is urged to contact the FBI," Smith said.
