A Pew Research poll reports that 59% of Christians (up to 85% of some Christian groups) supported the Republican candidate in last November’s election. I understand why the issue of abortion was important, but when considering the “seamless garment” of all of life:
What is Christian about me and mine first, and only then others?
What is Christian about cutting healthcare for the poor and funding for affordable housing?
What is Christian about indiscriminate layoffs, ripping dignity from workers?
What is Christian about de-funding scientific and medical research, and institutions of learning?
What is Christian about robbing the poor to give to the rich?
What is Christian about abandoning friends?
People are also reading…
What is Christian about foul language, name-calling, and belittling those we disagree with?
What is Christian about public violence, and calling it love?
May I ask? Will you reply?
