I am Michelle Worden, MSN, AG-ACNP-BC, an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with 13 years of nursing experience in acute care. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work across multiple high-acuity settings, including the emergency department; pre- and post-operative cardiac and radiologic services; and as a procedural nurse in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, diagnostic cardiology, and interventional radiology departments. These experiences have strengthened my ability to think critically, adapt quickly in high-acuity environments, and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.

I am dedicated to education and mentorship, teaching CPR, ACLS, and PALS for over 10 years while precepting future nurses and now nurse practitioner students. Supporting the growth of the next generation of healthcare providers is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.
For the past three years, I have served as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with the Cardiothoracic Surgery at BUMCT, caring for complex surgical patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes. I am a devoted advocate for my patients and their families during some of their most challenging moments. I have the pleasure of working alongside amazing colleagues to deliver safe, evidence-based care.
